What is X9 PKI?
X9 PKI is a professional solution for managing digital certificates and cryptographic keys designed as a secure alternative to the traditional webPKI model. It allows organizations to take full control over certificate trustworthiness and eliminate reliance on public certification authorities (WebPKI). X9 PKI is the ideal choice for the financial sector, with the entire PKI backed by DigiCert, the world's largest CA. X9 is also the only option to obtain a certificate with public trust (PKI) with Client Authentication EKU. This extension is no longer part of WebPKI.
