Manage Organization Validation for ACME
(April 16, 2026) We have added the management of organization validation to the customer account. If you apply for an OV or EV certificate without active validation, the request will not be completed, and the certificate will not be issued. We offer you a solution in the form of pre-validation of the organization, which is now newly available to you.
Organization Pre-validation
Customers who want to use ACME for OV and EV certificates, and thus automate them, must have a pre-validated organization with active OV or EV validation; otherwise, the certificate will not be issued. You now have the option to submit a request for OV or EV validation directly in the customer account. You can find this new feature in ACME access management.
For already validated organizations, you will also see how long their validation is active and thus valid.
How to Start Pre-validation
In ACME access management, you will newly find a tab called Organizations, which lists all entities available for ACME automation. The overview shows the status of validation. If you want to start the pre-validation of the organization, click the Settings button and select the initiation of OV or EV validation. This will launch a process with the CA that will validate your organization. You will be informed of its completion by the appearance of an expiration date for its active validation in the organization's status overview.
